Lisa Edwards began her training at the age of 5 in her hometown of Dubbo. After graduating from the Australian Ballet School in 1999 with an Advanced Diploma of Dance, Edwards moved to Europe and danced with The Stadttheater St Gallen Switzerland, Anhaltishches Theater Dessau, and Koblenz Stadttheater in Germany and toured throughout Europe and Cuba.

In 2004, Edwards moved back to Australia and joined the Queensland Ballet, where she was promoted to Soloist in 2013 and Senior Soloist in 2016. During her time with QB, she performed many Principal and Soloist roles locally and internationally, was named Dancer to Watch, and was the recipient of 2016 Dream Festival Artist of the Year. Edwards has played an active part in teaching in QB’s Education programs and also obtained her Diploma of Pilates movement therapy in 2017. She retired from the stage at the end of 2018 after an 18-year career.
